We are excited to showcase our first drop from curator and artist Cesar Lopez. Born in 1991 in Guatemala, Cesar lives and works in Kansas City and received his BFA from the Kansas City Arts Institute in 2019. At a young age, his family immigrated to the United States. The trauma of “not belonging” created the basis for his art practice. Merging formal elements of painting and personal history, Cesar creates a fictional space the “3rd space” - a space with abstract and colorful elements based on fictitious flags mixed with colorful elements. Cesar will be live with us with Janine Yancey, founder of Emtrain. Janine is a pioneer and visionary in healthy workplace culture, including online education in diversity and inclusion.
