Frederik De Wilde is an award-winning artist and scientist operating at the interstice of art, science, and technology. His studio emphasizes innovation, tailored concepts, and cutting-edge solutions. It pioneers in-house technologies, hardware, code, AI, and data-driven approaches for audiovisual experiences, immersive and interactive content, collaborating with forward-thinking brands and companies to develop exceptional projects.

De Wilde's work has been exhibited in notable museums such as the ArtScience Museum, National Gallery Singapore, MAAT, Onassis Stegi Foundation, Centre Pompidou, and Carnegie Museum. His pieces are also featured in institutions like NASA, ESA, Rice and Wyoming University, and the European Commission, as well as in permanent collections at the Smithsonian and ZKM, and high-quality private collections like the Foundation Prince Albert of Monaco.

As a pioneering artist, Frederik conceptualized the "blackest-black" project, which received the Ars Electronica Award (2010) and the Best European Collaboration Creative City Challenge Award (2012). This project inspired many artists worldwide, including Sir Anish Kapoor with his Vantablack.

Frederik is also a finalist in the TED Ideas Worth Spreading Global Talent Search and the Arab Bank Switzerland's Digital Art NFT Prize. He has published several essays and papers, including "Artistic Approaches to Design and Manufacturing Techniques Dedicated to Space Applications” for MIT Press. In 2021, he was featured in three episodes of EPISODE 8: Privacy PART 1: Whose Data Is It? by Hyundai Motor Company in partnership with Bloomberg.

Currently, Frederik is commissioned by the United Nations to create a permanent large-scale artwork related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), joining other renowned artists like Anish Kapoor and Anthony Gormley.
