Jackson Daughety is an artist from Dallas, Texas, currently living in Kansas City,
Missouri. Interested primarily with literature, media and art history, his practice involves
appropriating and reorganizing media ideas in order to raise questions about cultural values.
His work is focused on revealing small ways in which hierarchies are constructed and
maintained. Through the use of many techniques, often opting for a more domestic
approach to fabrication, the labor behind each project often has a performative significance
to it. This multidisciplinary approach has created a wide-ranging body of work held together
by underlying critical eye.
